Ready for new meeting place for academia and the innovation ecosystem 21 April 5–8 PM
The Life Science Growth House and business clusters kick off innovation hangouts where researchers, students and businesses can build networks. We want to inspire, give self-confidence and knowledge about innovation processes and facilitate collaboration that puts more research from UiO to use for the benefit of patients and society.
The first event in the series is a collaboration with Oslo Cancer Cluster.

- Inspirational talk by?Stefan?Ries, PhD, Venture Partner, Versant Ventures, Switzerland. He is a biochemist and tumour biologist by training and has more than 20 years of experience in drug development for oncology.
- Role model talk by Anette Weyergang, senior scientist, PhD, Institute for Cancer Research, Oslo University Hospital and SPARKee in UiO:Life Science’s innovation programme SPARK Norway, former attendee School of Health Innovation
- Matchmaking with members of Oslo Cancer Cluster: Roche, Adjutec, AstraZeneca, Oncosyne, Thelper and more.

Minister's visit to Oslo Science Park
Minister of Research and Higher Education Ola Borten Moe and the rectorate visited our office in Oslo Science Park last week. Director Hilde Nebb presented the innovation services that we provide for researchers and students and emphasised the importance of good interaction with units at UiO and the innovation ecosystem around us.
Strengthening the innovation culture and innovation ecosystem
The Life Science Growth House and dScience – Centre for Computational and Data Science will strengthen the innovation culture at UiO and contribute to making Oslo Science Park an even more holistic ecosystem for innovation where business and academia meet.
News about internships for life science students
Through the internship programme supported by the Life Science Growth House, 24 students from medicine, pharmacy and chemistry have been offered summer jobs in companies. Thanks to Bristol Myers Squibb, Novartis, AbbVie, Takeda, Roche, Bayer, Dr. Dropin, Eyecheck System, Nordic Nanovector, Oncoinvent, Medlytic, Biogen and Smerud Medical Research! We will come back with more information once the students have started.
The pharmaceutical company AbbVie has established a career programme where students who have graduated recently or have worked 1–2 years, can apply for a 6 months internship. Application deadline 27 March. The call is no longer active.

We help researchers and students to mature early-stage ideas in close interaction with units at UiO and our innovation ecosystem. We provide tailored counselling, seed funding, meeting places, courses, seminars, internships for students, mentor programme and more.
