Congratulations and best of luck to Markus (PI) and Taran for their proposal "Capacities for Energy Transition Governance " to the RCN scheme Collaborative Project to Meet Societal and Industry-related Challenges!

Kristin has also submitted the application "Licenses to appropriate land for societal ends" to the RCN scheme Researcher Project for Scientific Renewal (Thematic Call).

Kristin has this week started one-to one work dialogues with the senior staff, researchers and post doctors.

Recruiting processes

The committee for the deputy associate professorship in STS is now approved:

  • Professor Anders Blok, Copenhagen University, committee chair
  • Associate Professor Tanja Schneider, Technical University of Denmark
  • Associate Professor Terje Finstad, NTNU

The committee chair is in the revised legislation on Norwegian universities required to come from another institution than UiO. There are no other members from TIK due to impartiality. For the last reason, the process will now be led by the Department of Sociology and Human Geography.

Kristin is PI together with professor Helge Jordheim, Faculty of Humanities, for the research group "Stakes of democracy in times of crisis: Trust, Nature and Value". The group also includes Tone H. from TIK, and professor Dag Michaelsen, Faculty of Law. The research group is now recruiting a postdoctoral fellow in STS/Cultural History: Postdoctoral Fellow in STS/Cultural History (275135) .

Cooperation and outreach activities

Torjus will be on a research stay at the Technical University of Denmark from 3 March to 30 May.

Susanne gave an invited talk in STS seminar series of Gothenburg University & Chalmers University Friday last week, 28 February: Susanne Bauer: "Data & Methods Inside Out? Studying Epidemiology as Infrastructure".

The bookstore Norli has replaced Akademika as campus bookstore, but UiO still has an agreement with Akademika for purchase of books. When ordering through this form Bestilling av b?ker - Nettskjema the purchase will be invoiced TIK.
