TIK25 finale
Thanks to all of you who made our anniversary party and seminar on the green transition such a rewarding event!
For those of you who did not have the possibility to attend, a short glimpse through Kristin's welcome speech, photos from the day and the TIK25 playlist.
The seminar was also part of the STS course for PhD students, organized 2-6 December by Tone D. From TIK Daniela, Elin, Elisabeth, Tokhir, Rakesh and Torjus attended, together with around 10 students from other departments at UiO and elsewhere.
Outreach and conference activites
Ana was invited keynote speaker with a talk called "Growth? Microbial metabolisms, productivism and the science-economy nexus" at the Microbial Lives Final Symposium at the University of Helsinki last Friday, 29 November. The symposium was organized by The Centre for the Social Study of Microbes at the University of Helsinki, a hub for social scientists and artists conducting research on human-microbial relations. 9 December Magnus is invited keynote speaker at the Symposium on Public Service Innovation, organized by MATRIX Norwegian Centre for Clinical Cancer Research. He will give a talk about medical innovation - challenges and possibilities.

José Ossandon (Copenhagen Business School) has written a paper in Journal of Cultural Economy on challenges in the field of social studies of markets with a point of departure in Kristin and Tone H’s book Nature-Made Economy: Local economic planning as a problem for market studies. TIK Board
The TIK board voted Thursday 5 December for the annual budget and plans for 2025, as well as for the announcement for replacement for centre director. The announcement is sent to the Faculty board for final approval 18 December and is planned to be online in the beginning of January.
It was the last meeting for the student representatives this year - an important voice into the decision-making at TIK. Thanks to Vilde, Aleksander, Maiken and Isabela for their contribution this year!
