UiO:Democracy

UiO:Democracy announces funding for 3–5 interdisciplinary research groups with a budget of 2-6 million NOK for the period 2023–2025. The projects should be with participants from at least two or more faculties, and there is no requirement to contribute a deductible (own financing).

It is both desirable and crucial that researchers from our faculty take the role as Principal Investigator in several applications. For this reason, we invite everyone who would like to participate in an application to a mobilization seminar on August 17 from 10:00-12:00. A formal Invitation are in the making, but save the date already now.

The applicants should position themselves in relation to at least one of the following tracks:

  1. Democracy as a form of governance and the institutions of democracy
  2. Citizens, diversity, and inequality
  3. The role and function of knowledge
  4. Democracy and crisis management
  5. Democracy in everyday life

In addition to these thematic tracks, UiO:Democracy has three cross-cutting dimensions: sustainability, globalization, and digitalization. Projects that clearly incorporate one or more of these dimensions will be prioritized.

Application deadline, October 15 this year.
