Tanja Knaus has started as a Ph.D. fellow at the project "Norwegian Centre for Artificial Intelligence Innovation (NorwAI)", led by Susanne Bauer. Welcome to Tanja! We look forward to hearing more about your project.
Nassima Abdelghafour will visit TIK and the STS group a month from 16th May. She is a post doctor at the Center for the Sociology of Innovation, at Mines Paris, the French partner of the Valuethreads project, led by Kristin Asdal. Together with Liliana Doganova and Brice Laurent, both researchers at the CSI, she conducts an investigation on the valuation of natural resources in French Guiana, focusing on the interactions between mining activities and sustainable forestry. Welcome!
Working with Norwegians?
Every semester, the International Staff Mobility Office at UiO (ISMO) organizes cultural courses for Norwegian and International employees. ISMO now have the pleasure of inviting you to this semesters workshop: “Want to understand Norwegian Working Culture?” Tuesday 24th of May at 08:45 - 11:30 am, Georg Sverdrups hus (University Library).
The workshop is led by Lorelou Desjardins (A Frog in the Fjord), and aims to give participants insight into the social norms and the unwritten rules of the Norwegian working environment.
The target group is both international researchers/employees at UiO and Norwegian employees who work in an international environment.

Ph.D. and post doctor positions at TIK
TIK received 92 applications for the 3 Ph.D. positions in Innovation Studies and Science & Technology Studies, and 61 applications for the PhD Fellowship in Innovation Policy and Sustainability Transitions. Committees will be appointed before the summer.
The application deadline for the Postdoctoral Research Fellow in science & technology studies (STS) is on Sunday 15 May.
