The T?yen seminar for ph.d. students

Date: 16. – 17.November 2021

Preliminary time: 09:00 – 16:00 both days (the time will be adjusted according to number of participants)

Venue: Zoom https://uio.zoom.us/j/65542821929?pwd=UnB3TDUrcVAzRkhOeWVuaWtodXBSdz09

 Deadline for registration: 15.10.2021

Deadline for paper: 08.11.2021

The goal of the T?yenseminar is to provide feedback to the pre-circulated drafts and jointly develop these papers. The expectation (for credits) is that all course participants have read all papers; each participant will take on a particular responsibility on commenting one paper. There will be a social gathering in the evening, which is a very nice opportunity to meet the other PhD students in person.

Registration and papers are to be send to Helena (helena.seibicke@tik.uio.no) with Susanne in copy (Susanne.bauer@tik.uio.no).

The final programme will be sent out after the registration deadline.

Invitations to the innovation lunches this semester is sent by e-mail to the innovation group mailing list.

The STS methods lab seminars are published continuously on the STS methods lab's events pages

Elections to the TIK board, temporary academic staff and to the Ph.d. committee

Centre board

The group of temporary academic staff is represented in the centre board by one representative. The election period for this representative is one year. Election of the representative and deputy representative for 2022 will now be conducted.

Members of the group temporary academic staff are employees at TIK in the following categories with an end date in the employment contract: Ph.d. fellows, post doctor fellows, substitutes for professors/associate professors, professors II and researchers.

The administrative regulations for TIK states that the representative together with the representative for the permanent academic staff represent the width in the centre activity.

In order to qualify as candidate, one must held a temporary position of at least 50 % for the duration of the election period (2022).

The election will be conducted in an election meeting 19 November (a separate invitation will follow).

The TIK election board (members: Ana Delgado and Tone Huse) ask for candidate nominations by 29 October at 16.00.

Nominations should be sent to Inger-Johanne, i.j.ullern@tik.uio.no.

Ph.D. committee

TIK will establish a local ph.d. committee. More information about the committee will follow. As ph.d. candidates, both employees at TIK and external candidates, are invited to nominate candidates for the committee, this is just a short notice about the time schedule for the election.

The election will be held in the same meeting as the election to the TIK - and with the same deadline for nominations:

  • 29 October, nomination deadline
  • 19 November, Election meeting (a separate invitation will come)

Election to the faculty board

Temporary academic staff are also invited to nominate candidates for the faculty board, please see Forslag til vitenskapelig ansatte til fakultetsstyret - For ansatte - Universitetet i Oslo (uio.no) (Norwegian and English) for further information.
