Congratulations
This week we congratulate B?rd Hob?k. He became father to a daughter on May 3rd and everything is well with the family. B?rd will be on leave until May 20th.
We also congratulate the INTRANSIT-team with a successful kick-off seminar this week.
News from the administration
Stine Bruland returned on a part-time basis from her parental leave on May 8th. Stine and Lene will be jointly responsible for research administration in the coming months. Stine will be back on full-time in October.
TIK Board and Staff-meeting on May 28th
We use the opportunity to remind everyone to sign up for the Staff-meeting and Summer Party on May 28th. We had some start-up problems with the form and ask those of you who already have signed to resubmit your reply.
Parking
All employees should have received an e-mail giving information on the new parking app you have to use if you want to park for free at the University after June 1st. Please, note that you must register with UiO's benefit parking.
The administration will obtain code cards for visitors in need of parking.
Pre-warning; our building will be closed July 10th - 12th
The Estate Department will carry out service and maintenance on all electrical fuses in Eilert Sundts house and Harriet Holters house from 6:00 am Wednesday 10th of July to Friday 12th of July 17:00 pm.
The Estate Department is required to test all fuses in every University building. They will immediately replace broken fuses wherever they detect errors. In order to test all the fuses it is necessary to close the buildings.
Please note that the buildings will be unavailable while the power is out and it will not be possible to use Remote Desktop to connect to your office computer from an external location.To access your home disk we recommend the use of UIO-programkiosk: /english/services/it/network/home-and-away/
WHAT TO DO WITH THE IT EQUIPMENT BEFORE I LEAVE MY OFFICE THE DAY BEFORE?
It is not necessary to do anything in relation to IT equipment
SV-info and IT-help will be open as usual, but located in Harald Schjelderup's house.
FETCHING THINGS WILL NOT BE POSSIBLE
The entrances will be guarded by security and no one will be allowed to enter the building until it opens again 12th of July at 17:00.

This week we have a visitor from Iceland, R?gnvaldur J. S?mundsson. He is professor at University of Iceland and will give a presentation during the Innovation lunch. He is sitting in room 515.
