Once again, thank you to all for making TIK's 20th anniversary conference on March 20th such a big success!! We made it! I hope all of you have seen the video from the day on Facebook.
The Faculty Board's decision, two days later, to stop the process of making TIK a part of the Department of Social Anthropology, is fully in line with what we aimed for, and we thank everyone who participated in the preparations for the meeting. The decision means that TIK will continue as centre and a new Board will be appointed by the Faculty Board in June.
Visit from the Ministry of Education and Research
State Secretary Rebecca Borch from the Ministry of Education and Research will visit TIK on April 3 for an update on our activities. She should have participated in the Anniversary Conference, but was sick and had to cancel.
News from TIK's staff
We welcome Markus Bugge as associate professor in the innovation group. He joined TIK on April 1 and his office is room 505 in Eilert Sundts hus.
Tuukka M?kitie handed in his PhD last week, and we repeat our congratulations!
Applications for new projects
The Norwegian Research council's main deadline this spring is April 10. TIK's staff is planning to send five applications to FRIPRO and is partner in one application for SAMKUL. We hope the successrate will continue.
Fire Protection Training

We have not succeeded in getting enough participants for the Team, and will not sign up for the relay this year.
