Advertising and Recruiting through Social Media

  1. When using social media for recruitment/advertisement it has to be clear and visible where the project, event or researcher belongs and who is responsible for it. Thus, a UiO web page presenting the project must be set up by filling out this form and linked from SoMe. The web page and SoMe post has to be in accordance with the UiO profile and design manual

  2. Contact kommunikasjon@sv.uio.no for campaign assistance
    • Contact the Communication Department at the Faculty of Social Sciences for professional counselling, guidance and training when you want to make sponsered posts on research projects or events. Read also the distribution of resposibility between faculty and department.
    • Please provide the following information:
      • What is the landing page to use on uio.no?

      • Which image should be used? Preferably in a 4:5 format.

      • What should the headline be?

      • What should the post text be?

      • What is the target audience? Where do they live, how old are they?

      • Billing information.

    • Smaller projects should contact datamanager@psykologi.uio.no to have a web page set up
  3. Web forms for contact, consent or data collection, should be linked to the project's/ event's web page and not shared directly in the SOME-posting. A link to the project's or event's web page is the only link you should share on social media.

  4. The SOME post must inform that person-identifiable information must be avoided in the commentary field. Regularly monitoring of the commentary field is required

  5. Details of the recruitment process (including advertising) must be described in the project description/data management plan, and therefore available in ForskPro.
