Jo has extensive experience from management, administration and organizational development within hi-tech industries. He has been Head of the Department of Chemistry from 2013 until now. Previously, he has held various management roles in the pharmaceutical industry in addition to managing and building the HR, quality and IT area in NorSun, a Norwegian solar energy company. Jo holds a Dr. Scient. degree in chemistry from the University of Oslo.
Former Faculty Director Jarle Nygard will continue as Special Advisor at the Faculty Administration. Professor Einar Uggerud is the new Head of the Department of Chemistry.
