Editorial: Happy Easter from the Office of the Dean
The Office of the Dean will provide a recap of the semester so far, the ongoing activities at MED and external collaborations. Save the date for a big meeting on Global Health at Domus Medica on 20 June, and a meeting on Ukraine in the Aula in Oslo city centre on 14 September. – Thank you all for the hard work and dedication to achieving our common goal. The management collumn: The country with a perpetual shortage of doctors
Dean Hanne Flinstad Harbo and Pro-Dean of Studies Magnus L?berg are involved in the debate on the shortage of doctors in Norway. “We have plans to increase the number of medical students, but this alone is not enough”, they say.

Harbo was invited on his first official visit to the Institute of Medicine (IOM) at Tribhuvan University. UiO has entered into a new agreement for car sharing (article in Norwegian). The new electric cars will be in place from 20 April 2023. Between 1 and 19 April, UiO's electric car pool is unfortunately unavailable.

Working hours during Easter: Government employees are off from 12.00 on the Wednesday before Maundy Thursday, to the extent that working conditions permit. In addition, the holidays during Easter are: Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, Easter Eve, 1st and 2nd Easter Sunday.
This year this applies to 6.-10. April. -
Mailbox for feedback to the management at MED: Do you have a great idea? Or feedback that could be useful for the faculty management? Use the online form to submit your feedback and ideas. The mailbox is a trial project that will run until summer 2023. All feedback will be read but individual responses will not be sent. UiO: Guidelines for the use of TikTok and Telegram at UiO (in Norwegian). UiO follows the recommendations from the Ministry of Justice and Emergency Preparedness and the National Security Authority, and asks employees not to install and use the apps TikTok and Telegram on their mobile phones and other digital devices owned by UiO.
