Welcoming event for new employees at the Faculty of Medicine

You, as a newly appointed or newly promoted professor or associate professor, are invited together with your managers to a friendly get?together with mingling and short academic presentations at the Professor’s Residence. Meet the faculty leadership and get support for building your professional network.

The faculty leadership would like to get to know you as you take on a new and important role as a researcher and teacher at the faculty. The Dean’s Office warmly invites you, if you were newly appointed or newly promoted to professor or associate professor at MED between 1 May 2025 and the end of the year, to a get to know meeting at the university’s professor’s residence in central Oslo.

The Dean’s Office would like to learn about you and your research. Participants will therefore be asked, at the start of the meeting, to give a short introduction of themselves and their research.

Please check your UiO email for an invitation with more information from the Dean. Replies should be sent using the web form you received. Deadline: 8 January at 16:00.

If your appointment or promotion takes effect from 2026, you will be invited to the next welcome meeting. The Dean’s Office regularly invites newly appointed professors and associate professors.
