The construction of the New National Hospital has consequences for those taking the tram to Domus Medica. There will be a bus service replacing trams on tram lines 17 and 18 from John Collet's square to Rikshospitalet, from September 16th 2024 to January 2025.

In the direction of Domus Medica, this bus will stop by the metro, in Gaustadalléen and at the new main entrance to Rikshospitalet (first arrow). When you’re heading to John Collet's square/the centre of Oslo, the bus will depart from the roundabout near the old tram stop (second arrow). Last arrow indicates the tram stop that is closed from September 16th.

From January 2025, the tram will run again, but the terminus will be located under the Ring Road, i.e. at the present last-but-one stop, Gaustadalléen.

Not until 2031 will there be a new tram stop at Rikshospitalet.
