Rock Drilling: On Monday, November 18, the builder will be drilling in the rock relatively close to Domus Medica. This will take place over 1-4 days. There will also be intermittent noise from wire sawing and pipe wall drilling in the coming period. The contractor will use local noise shielding as much as possible.
Demolition of the Patient Hotel After New Year's: The patient hotel right next to Domus Medica will be demolished, which will cause some noise. The Emergency Response Unit of the Oslo Police will conduct exercises in the building before the demolition, likely from November 20 until Christmas.
These exercises will mostly take place in the afternoons and on weekends, and will be signposted. In the first phase, the interior of the patient hotel will be demolished, with the building itself being demolished after New Year's. This may result in significant noise.
The new pedestrian bridge at the west side of Domus Medica is under construction. Cyclists will soon be encouraged to use Gaustadalléen.
Replacing Masses Near Main Entrance A: The builder will need to excavate and replace masses near main entrance A. The excavation work is planned to be carried out in the afternoons and on weekends, and plates may be placed over the area for deliveries. In connection with various works west of the entrance, the large Domus Medica sign will need to be removed and replaced with new signage on the external wall of the auditorium.
