The work is part of the construction of the New National Hospital, Rikshospitalet.

Bus replacing tram until March

Work on a new terminus for trams below ring 3, in Gaustadalléen, is ongoing. We have not been given a new date for when the trams will run again, but they estimate that the bus service replacing trams will probably be in operation until March.

Blasting commences

The blasting work started on 6 January 2025. They are taking place in the construction pit outside the former main entrance to Rikshospitalet north of Domus Medica. The blasting work commence in the section furthest away from us. In the vicinity, drilling and foundations are also to be done in connection with a new pipe wall.

Noise from demolition of the patient hotel

Work to demolish the patient hotel located right next to Domus Medica started on 6 January. The inside will be demolished first, and this work will not be so noisy. The exterior demolition will cause some noise. The work will probably be finished at the end of May.

Pedestrian bridge soon to open

The new pedestrian bridge which has been installed on the west side of our building is not open yet, but will soon be ready for use.
