NSD is a national archive and center for research data. All student and research projects at UiO that process personal data must be notified to NSD.

Notifying NSD

Information from UiO on notifying NSD

Important: The project must be notified to NSD no later than 30 days before data collection begins.

Unless the project is only using fully anoynomous data, NSD must be notified. NSD specific information on notification. Additionally, there is a test to check on whether your project should be notified. The person who is conducting the research project is the one who is responsible for filling out the notification form. If one is required, you have to submit a notification form even if you do not publish personal data.
