On Monday, December 1, 2025, parking fees will be implemented at UiO. Pay via the app Park Nordic Parking (under "Abonnement" in "Min profil"). The regulations apply both to the main campuses and to rented buildings where UiO has designated parking spaces. Employees can park in spaces marked A (ansatt). The maximum parking duration is 48 hours.
How to park at UiO
Create an account in the parking app
- Download the mobile app "Park Nordic Parking" from from Appstore (apps.apple.com) or Google Play (play.google.com).
- Create a new user account.
- Enter in your email address. Use your UiO address to get the correct parking permit.
- Press continue. You will receive a five-digit code via email to log in.
- Your user account has now been created, and you can register your vehicle and payment card.
Activate the parking permit
- To activate the parking permit, you must link your user account to Feide/Weblogin.
- Press "Min profil" and then "Mine sider".
- Click on the menu at the top right (three horizontal lines). Select "P?logging og sikkerhet".
- Scroll down until you see the Feide logo under the heading "Third Party Links." Log in with your UiO username and password.
- Once this is done, your user account will be validated, and you can start parking at UiO.
Register your vehicle
- You may register up to four vehicles under "Min profil" in the app.
- Remember that you can only use the parking permit on one vehicle at a time. Make sure that the car you park with is the one registered with the parking permit.
Add payment card
- Complete your profile by adding a payment card. You can do this under "Betalingsmetoder" in "Min profil".
- You can add multiple payment cards. You can also manage these under "Betalingsmetoder".
Payment:?
- Under "Abonnement" in "Min profil". Choose to pay for either one day or one month at a time.
- If you have paid the parking fee, you can move freely between the parking areas without having to reregister your parking or pay again.
Privacy
- When you log in via Feide/Weblogin, only information regarding your affiliation with UiO is collected; no other personal data is retrieved.
- Anonymized data is shared with UiO for statistical purposes.
- The use of data is governed by a separate data processing agreement between UiO and Park Nordic.
- NB! You remain registered as a user with Park Nordic until you deregister in the app or on the website.
- All personal information about you will be deleted when you deregister. You can deregister your user account at any time.
Information about other parking groups
Professores emeriti
- Professores emeriti must also pay for parkinng, but they can now use their UiO username and password to activate the parking permit. Follow the method as described under "Activate the parking permit".
- If you do not have UiO login, you can email parkering@eiendom.uio.no to verify your account.
- Professores emeriti can park in areas marked A.
Guests and visitors
- All guests and external visitors must pay to park. They also need an active permit to park at UiO.
- Guests affiliated with UiO through the Guest Registration and who have received a UiO username and password, can use this to verify their account. Follow the method as described under "Activate your parking permit".
- External visitors can obtain a short-term parking permit. The host unit must ensure to notify as early as possible. Office managers in the units can order a parking permit by emailing parkering@eiendom.uio.no with the following information:
- Name and email address of the person who needs the parking permit. The email address must be the same as the one used to create the account with Park Nordic.
- Duration (maximum three days).
- The email address will be registered in the app.
- The guest can now register their vehicle and pay for parking in the parking app.
- Individuals with a short-term parking permit can park in employee and student spaces marked A or S.
- Visitors can also use guest parking with parking meters. These areas have their own rates, and an active parking permit is not required.
HC
Those with a municipal HC permit (physical or digital) do not need to pay the parking fee. With a HC permit, you can park in both HC-designated spaces and regular spaces marked A and S. A doctor's notice (legeerkl?ring) will not be accepted.
Contractors, craftsmen and service companies
- Contractors, craftsmen and service companies carrying out work on university premises must also pay to park.
- Office managers in the units who use these services can send an email to parkering@eiendom.uio.no to receive parking permits.
- The duration of the parking permit cannot exceed three months.
- Vehicles with parking permits marked E can park in A, S, and E spaces.
Vehicles used for work-related purposes
Private vehicles used for work-related purposes must pay for parking. Reimbursement via travel expenses (reiseregning) must be arranged with the nearest manager.
UiO's service vehicles are not subject to controls. Service vehicles refer to those clearly marked with a UiO logo or an emblem.
Deliveries
Deliveries, such as to the stores in Frederikkebygningen, catering, or relocation services, are exempt from the parking regulations. This means they can park outside of marked spaces and do not need to pay the parking fee.?
Drivers must be able to show a confirmation of the order upon request.

What do the parking zones mean?
- A spaces can be used by vechicles in categories A, R og E.
- S spaces can be used by vechicles in categories S, R og E.
- R spaces can be used by vechicles in categoriesi R.
- E spaces can be used by vechicles in categories E.
- HC spots are reserved for vehicles with a municipal HC permit. The HC permit is attached to the person, not the vehicle.
R categorisation is granted to those who require a reserved spot due to the nature of their work. They must also pay the parking fee. If you believe you need a R permit, you can submit an application to parkering@eiendom.uio.no.
