Oslo Philharmonic begins a collaboration with the Culture and Welfare Committee by offering a splendid concert, Jean Sibelius’s "Lemmink?inen", at discounted prices.

About the concert

Jean Sibelius (1865–1957) based the four tone poems in "Lemmink?inen" from 1896 on stories from the Finnish national epic the "Kalevala", in which Lemmink?inen is a fearless adventurer and charmer — a kind of Finnish Don Juan.

Klaus M?kel? (born 1996) is a Finnish conductor and cellist who has served as chief conductor of the Oslo Philharmonic since the 2020/2021 season. This is the last chance to see M?kel? as chief conductor, as his remaining concerts this spring are already sold out.

The concert lasts approximately 1 hour without an intermission, including a concert introduction from the stage.
