Join us for an informal breakfast and hear from other internationals that have mastered the transition to Norwegian life and get the chance to ask them questions.
This time we are joined by Daniela De Lorenzo Born in Milan, she lived and worked in Copenhagen, Amsterdam, and Brussels before setting foot in Oslo in November 2023, where she now works as a journalist.
Before moving, she covered roles in the communication department of institutions and NGOs and in well-known media, as a staff reporter or as a freelancer.
Even seven years in the Nordics haven’t yet compromised her Mediterranean soul into believing that scheduling coffee dates months in advance or avoiding confrontations is a good thing. Let alone purchasing a Db backpack.
What keeps her moving is curiosity, and she’s passionate about listening to people’s stories and learning new languages and things, most often via good-quality media or just chatting around.
She believes Oslo is a city for all seasons, even though she is just in her second year of discovering what it can offer. In her free time, she keeps busy with crafty hobbies, running, hyttetur to Marka, and much more.
She’s currently on a mission to find a pair of skis at a loppemarked - better than the ones she inherited from her partner from when he was sixteen (decades ago!), since that’s her height range.
