General rules
- Users are responsible for obtaining physical access to the building and the relevant room (contact the Operations Area or the Security Operation Center).
- Furniture must be returned to its original place and waste must be removed before vacating the premises.
- Rooms at UiO cannot be used for commercial purposes or sublet without express permission from the Estate Department.
- Everyone must be out of the buildings by 02:00 hrs. Security guards may terminate functions if UiO’s security regulations are not complied with.
- Food and beverages are not permitted in classrooms, only in meeting rooms and canteens.
- All users of UiO's premises are obliged to familiarize themselves with and adhere to UiO’s fire instructions.
- Smoking and use of naked flames/candles is prohibited (except in controlled laboratory work, in church rooms and at staffed catering facilities subject to a liquor licence).
- All use of alcohol in UiO’s premises must be in accordance with the guidelines for serving alcohol at UiO.
- Some UiO premises also have their own rules of use that must be adhered to.
Responsibilities of user
- Rooms at UiO must normally only be used for work purposes.
- Notify the room owner of any problems with the room, such as broken or missing technical equipment.
Responsibilities of room owner
The units are responsible for:
- Managing room bookings
- Updating information on rooms, such as capacity, equipment etc.
- Ensuring that rooms are in a good condition
The Estate Department is responsible for:
- Overall responsibility for the rooms and their use
- Updating room details according to information from the units
- Approving applications for use by external enterprises, student associations, and all use after 21:00 hrs and at weekends
Classrooms
- Some activities, such as conferences, can be pre-registered before the room is available for general booking.
- Teaching activities are given priority for classroom bookings. In principle, classrooms cannot be booked until the lesson plan for the coming period is available.
