Board elections

The employees and students at the University of Oslo elect the internal members of the University Board. Ordinary elections take place every four years while representatives of fixed-term academic staff  and the student body are elected every year.

The external board members are nominated by the Ministry of Education and Research on the basis of proposals by the outgoing Board.

The elections are governed by the Universities and Colleges Act and the Election Regulations for the University of Oslo.
