The Aula is for many connected to the first public debut. Now the tradition is about to vanish; we rarely meet the young performer who stand in front of a audience and the critics.
At the same time, a debut is something uplifting and expectantly that creates an extra nerve to the word. This feeling is what they want to recreate - both in their season opening and throughout the season.
Therefore, they have invited a few young Norwegian composers to write new pieces for them. This way they will have the chance to show themselves, and we get to know these new up and coming personalities within Norwegian music.
The first one out is Anna Berg, who has already gained a lot of attention despite her young age. Here, both the Norwegian Chamber Orchestra and she will have the pleasure of setting the mood from the first tone in what they hope will be a season filled with their superior theme: buoyancy.
