Elisabeth Teige, recent winner of both Kirsten Flagstad International Anniversary Award and Tom Wilhelmsen Opera Prize, arrives straight from the Wagner festival with some of the best songs a dramatic soprano can perform: Richard Wagner's Wesendonck-Lieder, interspersed with songs by his contemporaries Hugo Wolf and Norway's own Edvard Grieg.
Erling Ragnar Eriksen, known for his exquisite, elegant style and among Norway's most sought-after pianists, completes the programme with works by Franz List and Adolf Jensen.
The concert also includes an encounter with Richard Stokes, one of Europe's leading Lied experts, who will be presenting his most recent book on Hugo Wolf.
