Theme 2023: We need to belong
World Mental Health Day invites to a concerted effort against loneliness and exclusion. This year's campaign focuses on diversity and belongingness.
Throughout the week you will find events that focus on mental health. The events are for all students, employees and stakeholders at UiO. Meet us at a stand around campus or attend lectures and panels.

Tuesday October 10
- World Mental Health Day: Prolonged Grief. Guest lecture on Prolonged grief disorder - diagnosis and treating children and adolescents with Professor Rita Rosner. Time and place: 9:00 AM–12:00 PM, Auditorium 4, Harald Schelderups hus.
- World Mental Health Day: LGBTQ+ and mental health. Lunch seminar: Is it safe to come out yet? LGBTQ+ and mental health. Pizza and refreshments will be served. Time and place: 12:00 PM–1:00 PM, Auditorium 3, Harald Schelderups hus.
- “Universal Human Rights and Mental Health: Psychological perspectives on War in Ukraine”. Presentations and discussions about mental health among Ukrainians. Time and place: 2:00 PM-3:00PM, Auditorium 2, Harald Schelderups hus and Zoom.
- Who is Bruno? Social anxiety or social pressure? Seminar treating themes such as social anxiety and social pressure. The seminar will be in English and Norwegian. Time and place: 2:15 PM–3:00 PM, Helga Engs hus, room 231.
Monday October 16
- ?Balancing Learning and Mental Health: At Home and Beyond?. Incoming student Charlie Chen and outgoing student Mina Martinsen, will share their experiences of being a student in a different country. Pizza will be served. Time and place: 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM, Niels kaffebar, Niels Treschows hus.
