UiO-Russia: Research projects

The safety at sea project deals with legal issues connected with safety at sea. What opportunities have governments to influence safety of ships and oil installations? The main part of the project ended in 2010. Publications and presentations from seminars are published on the project's Norwegian pages.

This project involves linguists from UiO and two partner institutions in Russia whose competence covers a wide array of languages. We meet at conferences in Moscow and Oslo and conduct research on theoretical linguistics.

The project aims to identify the factors that have enabled the change in the Russian political climate towards increased social mobilization seen in channels such as social media.

This research project is the second book project undertaken by the Oslo Law of the Sea Forum, OSLOS.

SIGNAL is a project on the legal aspects of internet security hosted at the Norwegian Research Center for Computers and Law ( NRCCL). SIGNAL examines changes in legal frameworks for internet security by focusing on established, new and proposed legal security requirements ¨C at both international and national levels ¨C directed at critical internet infrastructure (CII) and cloud computing.
