INTPART - International Partnerships for Excellent Education and Research

The INTPART programme funds partnerships between Norwegian higher education and research institutions and excellent partners in prioritised countries: Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa, USA and Canada. 

The University of Oslo currently holds 50 of the 179 INTPART projects granted since 2015.

INTPART projects awarded in 2025

In the 2025 call, the University of Oslo was granted 4 projects out of a total of 20 projects nationally: 

  • Faculty of Dentistry: Life on metal surfaces (LIMES), H?vard J. Haugen. Countries: Japan, South-Korea.
  • Natural History Museum: Excellence in Conservation Biology through Accelerated Research and Training, Hugo de Boer. Countries: Ethiopia, Mozambique, Rwanda, Uganda.
  • Faculty of Medicine: Chinese-Norwegian Partnership for Education and Research in Cancer Cell Biology Phase II (ChiNoCell-II), Harald Alfred Stenmark. Country: China.
  • Department of Technology Systems: Digital Health Promotion for Digital Public Infrastructure, Josef Noll. Country: Ethiopia.

In 2022, no projects from UiO were awarded funding. There were a total number of 68 project applications, and only 7 projects were granted funds. See the RCN webpage about INTPART 2022 for further information.
