Guidelines for campaigns

With campaigns, there’s room for customised concepts to ensure visibility and impact – within the graphic profile.

By “campaigns” we mean market activities that take place for a shorter period, typically across multiple channels. The activities share the same message or goal, for instance student recruitment or promotion of a large event.

Campaigns may call for a distinct expression or concept, targeted to a specific audience. This can be developed within UiO’s graphic profile, as outlined in the guidelines below.

Recruitment campaigns

UiO runs student recruitment campaigns every year. The campaign should have a common thread across all activities and paint a distinctive and cohesive picture of the university.

To make sure that our brand comes through, recruitment campaigns must:

Examples

Examples of social media posts in a student campaign. The design uses UiO's colours and fonts, and creates distinctiveness and recognition through colour combinations and the typographic setup.

Other campaigns

In addition to recruitment campaigns, activities such as the promotion of large events and series of events may also require a customised, targeted concept.

In these cases, you may:

  • take new pictures in line with the design manual’s photo brief.
  • develop infographics, illustrations og graphic elements for images that can be used in social media posts, be used as images on the campaign landing pages, etc.

In these cases as well, the design must be in accordance with UiO’s design profile, including colours, fonts and logo usage.
