University Square

University Square is an umbrella term for the events in the Aula and Scene Domus Bibliotheca. The University is an important promoter in the marketing of the events.

Graphic elements ("tags") have been developed for use in the marketing of events held in the University Aula and at Scene Domus Bibliotheca. The tag is reserved for events at the University Aula and Scene Domus Bibliotheca and should not be used in other contexts.

Guidelines for marketing have been developed, and these guidelines depend on the type of event organiser you are. In the Aula, there are three organiser categories. At Scene Domus Bibliotheca, there is only one organiser category.

University Aula

The University of Oslo is a public institution, and when renting the Aula, we seek compensation in the form of promoting the University. The rental price depends on the organizer category you belong to. Please contact booking-sentrum@admin.uio.no for more information about rental prices.

The different organiser categories are:

  1. Internal organiser
  2. Collaborative organiser
  3. External organiser

Tenants affiliated with UiO are considered internal organizers. Tenants without affiliation with UiO are either collaborative organisers or external organisers.

Internal or collaborative organiser

An internal organiser is an organiser affiliated with one or more the University's units. A collaborative organiser is an organiser without affiliation with UiO, who wishes to promote the University of Oslo in their event.

The following applies for internal and collaborative organisers:

  • The organiser must use the Aula's graphic element ("tag") in all marketing material. This applies for example to event images, posters, flyers, or concert advertisements. Material templates can be downloaded in various formats below.

Here you can download tags and templates for various platforms and formats:

The tag consists of the text 'University Aula' and the UiO seal. The size and placement of these elements must not be altered.

The background color of the tag must be yellow, black, or white. The color of the text and seal should be black on a yellow or white background, or white on a black background.

External organiser

These are organisers who do not wish to associate their event with the promotion of the University of Oslo. External organisers do not need to follow UiO's design manual.

Scene Domus Bibliotheca

When using Scene Domus Bibliotheca, the University must be promoted through marketing. Want to use the facilities? Contact us via the online form (in Norwegian only).

Scene Domus Bibliotheca's organiser category

When using Scene Domus Bibliotheca, there is only one organiser category. Regardless of whether you are an internal, collaborative, or external organiser, the marketing of events is handled in the same way.

Marketing involves the University of Oslo creating the event on Scene Domus Bibliotheca's website and the Facebook page 'Universitetsplassen – UiO,' where you are added as a co-organiser. Note that online events are only created on Scene Domus Bibliotheca's website. From there, you can share the event to your pages.

Here, the event image will include Scene Domus Bibliotheca's graphic element ("tag"), which must be used in all marketing of the event. The tag must be included in all other marketing materials the organiser creates, such as posters, flyers, advertisements, and info screens.
