At the University of Oslo, we utilize DF?'s digital solution for appointments and employment contracts. Should you have questions, please reach out to the caseworker who has sent you the contract.
Sign the contract
Once you have received a contract proposal for hourly paid employment or an assignment contract, you must digitally sign and accept the contract. Following the link, will take you to the login page.
See how to Sign the contract | DF? (dfo.no)
Note: We recommend using browsers Google Chrome, Edge or Firefox. Safari can be somewhat unstable. Be aware of autofill in some browsers.
Edit personal data
During the signature process, you will encounter the question, "Do you have a BankID?" If you do not possess a Norwegian BankID and Norwegian national ID number or D number, please respond with "No." Subsequently, you will be prompted to provide a copy of your passport and your signature. The contract will be drafted in English.
If you already maintain an employee or contractual relationship with the University of Oslo, your address and bank account number are already recorded in the payroll system. Occasionally, these details cannot be modified during the signing process. For any concerns regarding this matter, kindly reach out to your caseworker.
All dates are written using the Norwegian date format: DD.MM.YYYY. E.g.: 01.06.21 means 1 June 2021.
Problems that may occur
Do not receive contract
If you are waiting for a contract but have not received it by email, please check your spam filter/junk mail. If it is not there, contact the caseworker to find out if they have your correct email address. The caseworker may correct the email address and send you a new link.
Not receiving SMS
If you do not receive a SMS, your phone number may have been registered incorrectly. Contact the caseworker mentioned in the email you received and provide the telephone number again. The caseworker may correct your telephone number in the contract and send you a new link for signing.
Unable to sign the contract
If you encounter difficulties signing the contract, try again a little later or contact the caseworker. Feel free to send a picture of the error message to the caseworker for assistance.
When you have signed and are about to log in
After electronically signing an employment contract, you will find the contract in the DF? app and the Self-Service Portal. You will receive an email with information about logging in from DF?, however you cannot log in until the day after the contract is signed.
Login to Self-Service Portal (dfo.no)

Submission of timesheets
- You must submit a digital timesheet for wages to be paid.
- You can only submit one time sheet per month. If you have several contracts you may submit one time sheet per month per contract.
- When the contract expires you will lose access to the system, so remember to submit timesheets continuously.
