The production of textiles accounts for 8% of the global greenhouse gas emissions. That's more than aviation and shipping combined!

By repairing what we already have, we reduce the amount of waste each of us produces. The Green Office offers regular repair cafés, every first Friday of the month. That way, students and staff have the opportunity to give their old or damaged clothes some love and a longer life. We have sewing machines and other equipment you need to mend your textiles.

You don’t know how to sew? These cafés are held in collaboration with Husfliden, meaning that you can be taught from scratch how to use a sewing machine and repair whatever you need to by very experienced people!

You are also welcome to use the sewing machines during our office hours, from 10.00 to 14.00 from Monday to Friday and keep going with your projects! Check out the Library of Things for books on mending and repair at the HumSam Library if you’re interested.
