Packed lunch spots
“Matpakkeplasser” (packed lunch spots) is the name of a small, printed leaflet. In this guide, Park Services introduce their favourite spots on campus to bring your packed lunch for a meal outdoors. There is also a short essay about how the outdoor spaces have been shaped over the years.

The Blindern trail
This 2.6 km trail at Blindern takes you around central parts of the campus. The trail is perfect for a walk or a run if you need an energising break during the day.

One of the student organisations at UiO is Blindern Student Garden. They have their own garden on the hill behind the Astrophysics Building on lower Blindern. Here they gather to cultivate flowers, vegetables and berries, using ecological principles.
Species observations
If you are interested, you can help us map what is grows and lives on the university grounds by submitting sightings to Species Observations System (Artsobservasjoner). It might also be exciting to identify wild species with the app Artsorakel.
