The Office for Contemporary Art Norway (OCA) is pleased to invite members of the Nordic Sounds network to a Symposium on Sámi arts, sounds, music, environment, and politics, which concludes the programme of off-site and discursive events accompanying the current exhibition 'Let the River Flow. The Sovereign Will and the Making of a New Worldliness'.
Although most objects in the exhibition Disobedient Objects were made in the heat of the moment, like the poster saying "I wish my boyfriend was as dirty as your politics," the plastic bottle gas mask was actually an object both designed and produced by the V&A.
The exhibition Disobedient Objects (2014-2015) at The Victoria and Albert Museum in London displayed objects that challenged conventional definitions of art and design. The objects on display were mostly everyday objects that originated from various grassroots activist movements from the late 1970s to the present. The objects on display were made to change the world.
